Laver & Wood have invested in a state-of-the-art bat knocking in the machine so that we can provide our customers the best service for our bats and other brands bats.
Your bat will be machine knocked in to provide a consistent hard guarding surface to the blades of the bat before being hand hammered on the toe and edges to strengthen further and withstand miss timed shorts.
Our cricket bat knocking in service includes the bat being oiled with premium linseed oil to moisturize the surface of the bat and facilitate the fibers to become supple. At Laver & Wood when you purchase a bat, we strongly recommend having it knocked in professionally to improve the performance and also helps extend the life of the bat.
Please Note: Damage of the bat can never be eliminated entirely due to the intensity and speed of contact of the ball which is hard. When a good bat is knocked in correctly would ideally last about 1000 runs including net use.
